Senator Barnaby Joyce

The Senator for Queensland and Leader of the National Party in the Senate Barnaby Joyce has been diagnosed with an acute case of foot-in-mouth disease, following a disastrous performance on the popular ABC program Q&A.

Symptoms of the disease include making inane, idiotic comments, a sudden urge to make ridiculous assertions, and a lack of understanding of the Australian political process.

Relatives and colleagues of Joyce have been warned to avoid close contact or conversations with the Senator as the disease is considered highly contagious, with some political commentators suggesting it has already spread throughout the Liberal front-bench.
