Gaddafi is said to be a closet fan of 'Friday'

Members of the United Nations Security Council have gathered in New York to review an emergency draft resolution put forth by Britain and the United States calling for the use of Rebecca Black's hit song Friday as part of offensive measures against Libya.

The resolution is said to include provisions for thousands of loud-speakers to be set up around Tripoli, in an effort to flush out pro-Gaddafi forces. All rebel fighters will be provided with free noise-blocking headphones, to avoid contact with the toxic music.

Human rights groups meanwhile have condemned the measure, claiming exposure to the song is in direct violation of the Geneva Convention.

"Waterboarding and electrocution are one thing" said a spokesman for the group, "But who would even consider using this horrendus song when innocent bystanders may be affected?"

"Studies on the physical and psychological side-effects associated with hearing this song are inconclusive. We could end up seeing generations of traumitised families, unable to comprehend how such a weapon could be used against them."

Libyan insiders meanwhile have cast doubt on the effectiveness of the measure, with Muammar Gaddafi said to be indifferent towards the song.

"For a colonialist pig funded by a murderous capitalist system, her song isn't that bad."
